Privacy policy

In short

Readio runs entirely in your browser. There is no server that receives your text, and there are no accounts. Documents you paste or open are stored in your browser's own storage (IndexedDB) and never leave your device.

What we process

Document content, reading positions, settings and reading stats stay exclusively in your browser. We have no access to any of it.

If you consent to analytics, an anonymous measurement script loads and collects aggregated traffic data (page viewed, device type, approximate country). We do not collect full IP addresses or anything that identifies you.

Without consent no measurement script loads and no analytics cookie is stored.

Cookies and storage

Readio uses no advertising or tracking cookies. We store only your consent record, your chosen settings and your language. These are strictly necessary for the app to work.

You can change or withdraw consent at any time by clearing this site's browser data.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, portability and objection. Because you hold all of your data, you exercise these rights directly in the app: the Stats page downloads everything as JSON or deletes it in one click.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

Third parties

We share none of your data with third parties. The site is hosted on our own server in the European Union. When analytics is enabled, aggregated data is processed by Cloudflare as a processor under a data processing agreement.

Changes

If we change this policy we update the date above. Material changes trigger a fresh consent prompt on your next visit.
